Waxing

orange and yellow retro sunflower

How to prepare beforehand?

Exfoliate the area 24 hours before your appointment. Come wearing cotton, loose-fitting
clothes that don’t hug. You can take an ibuprofen 30 minutes beforehand. Try to avoid
caffeine or alcohol consumption before your appointment.

What does it feel like/will it hurt?

Waxing has a unique pain just as a tattoo would, but it’s manageable. You will mostly
feel a sting after the pull, I always apply pressure to the area after the pull to help
alleviate any pain. A quick couple of seconds of pain and then it subsides.

What if I sweat?

Sweating is actually very normal and just a reaction from your body. Everyone does it, so
no need to sweat about it ;)

How long does it last?

You can get a good 2- 2 and a half weeks of smooth out of your service. As time goes
on, hair can stay away for longer in between services.

What if I get ingrowns?

Ingrowns can be treated with exfoliating products such as scrubs or serums. Sometimes
you only need one or the other, sometimes you may need both depending on the type of
ingrowns we’re dealing with. Scrubs are usually best to keep ingrowns away or at bay
and serums are best if the ingrowns have turned inflamed and irritated.

What is exfoliating and when do I start?

Exfoliation is the process we use to buff away or dissolve dead skin cells that build up.
As you wax, your hair becomes thinner and more sparse. It is also weaker, so when
dead skin starts to build up over it, that can cause irritation. Exfoliating helps to keep
your skin clear and irritation free. You want to start your routine 2 days after our service
and continue a few days a week until your next scheduled appointment.

How long should my hair be?

Your hair should be 1⁄4’’, the length of a grain of rice or about 2 weeks after your last
shave. This will ensure the wax is able to pick up all the hair.

Can I shave in between?

Please don’t shave in between!! The whole point of waxing is to sync your hair to the
same growth cycle so that eventually it all comes out at the same time and therefore can
be waxed away at the same time. Shaving will mess with this cycle.

When do I come back?

You’ll want to reschedule your next wax every 4-6 weeks to stay within the hair growth
cycle.

How to take care of my wax afterwards?

Directly after your wax you’ll want to wear flowy clothing, stay away from swimming
pools/beaches/lakes, try to keep sweating to a minimum, and no sexy time. Your skin is
freshly disrupted- we don’t want to introduce any new bacteria to the area. Best rule of
thumb is to take a couple of days off. And again, don’t forget to start your exfoliating.

Eyebrows

dark pink and light orange daisy flower

What is a lamination and How long does it last?

An eyebrow lamination, or lami, is a chemical process used to lay your eyebrow hairs in
a certain direction or style. This process can last you about 6-8 weeks. By 8 weeks
you’re ready to come back in. You can schedule a Brow Sculpt at 4 weeks if you need a
clean up in between.

What is the difference between a tint and a stain?

A tint enhances the natural shade of your brow hairs. It only deepens the shade of your
hairs. A stain will actually stain your skin a bit and your hairs.

How long does each last?

A tint usually lasts up until your following wax, about 4 weeks. If your skin takes to the
color, the color lasts on your skin for a couple of days. A stain can last up to 6 weeks
with the color on your skin for up to 2 weeks.

Which service is right for me?

If you have full brows already and are just looking for a bit of an enhancement to the
shade and less work in your makeup routine, at tint is best for you. If you’re looking for
more shape definition and have sparse spots in your brows, then a stain is best for you.

How do I take care of my brow services?

Do not saturate the brow area with water for 24 hours. You should use an oil everyday to
condition and nourish your hairs when doing chemical treatments like lamination and
stain. When cleansing your skin at night, don’t scrub the brow area aggressively and try
to keep active ingredients away from the area.

facials & Dermaplaning

What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is performed using a surgical blade to remove dead skin build up and
vellus hair, or “peach fuzz”. It’s fantastic for physically exfoliating the skin and the
removal of build up helps products to penetrate better. Only licensed professionals
should be performing this service.

How to prepare beforehand?

Be sure to fill out the full Consultation and Medical History questionnaire that will be sent
prior to your appointment. Discontinue any active ingredients in your routine at least 72
hours before your appointment.

Which facial is best for me?

The Classic facial is a great introduction to facials and skin care in general, or if you’re
just looking to relax for a while. The Elevated facial is for those who are on
recommended professional home care as the products used in service will compliment
the work you’re doing at home. The Personalized facial is for those who have graduated
to more advanced treatments such as peels and microneedling as the modalities used
will support those services. It’s also for anyone looking for the “ultimate experience” as
there is no upcharge for modalities including LED therapy, hydrojelly masks, high
frequency etc.

Is there downtime?

There is no downtime for facials and dermaplaning, however it’s always advised to drink
lots of water after the appointment and to stay out of the sun for at least 24 hours.

When can I resume my active ingredients in my home routine?

72 hours after your appointment you may resume your actives.

Do I have to buy new products?

At Razzberrhi Aesthetics, purchasing professional-grade skin care will always be
encouraged. Ingredient potency is higher in professional-grade skin care, they contain
less filler ingredients, they’re backed by clinical studies, and proven to help or greatly
reduce certain concerns. While encouraged, it’s never forced on you. Whether you want
a complete overhaul of your current routine or need to add a few products over time, I
am determined to find the right products for you.

chemical peels

retro ornage and dark orange sunflower

What is a chemical peel and how do I know if it’s right for me?

A chemical peel is an advanced treatment that uses higher levels of acids that exfoliate
the skin, stimulate collagen production, fade pigmentation and rejuvenate your skin.
There is a peel for just about any concern. However, peels are not advised if you’re
pregnant, using oral or topical acne medications, or have a sunburn or a compromised
barrier. Only licensed professionals should be performing this treatment.

How to prepare beforehand?

Use the week before your appointment to prep your skin with all hydrating and
moisturizing products. Discontinue use of active ingredients in your routine during this
time.

How long will I peel for?

Some peels you won’t peel at all, others you will peel a lot. Typically you will start to see
peeling around day 4-5 and continue to peel until day 7-8 depending on the peel
strength and depth.

Does it hurt?

During treatment you may feel a tingly, itchy sensation as well as feeling flush in the
face, however, over time the sensation subsides.

Is there downtime?

There is about a week of downtime in which you will want to stay cool, out of the sun and
use healing, hydrating products to care for your skin. You’ll want at least 2 days to rest
and then can continue normal physical activity.

When is the best time to get one?

In Arizona, peel season starts in the fall as the weather is more mild and we’re less likely
to spend lots of time in the sun.

When can I wear makeup?

After 2 days you can continue makeup use. If you can go the whole week without
makeup, even better as you can continue to apply healing products throughout the day.
However, that’s not always practical and that’s okay!

How to take care of my skin after?

Wash skin with a gentle cleanser morning and night, use hydrating toners, serums and
moisturizers and ALWAYS wear your SPF and a hat when outdoors. You can continue
active ingredients 7-14 days after treatment.

Why do I need to be on approved Homecare to receive one?

Taking care of your skin post-peel is so important to ensure results that will help the
targeted concern rather than make them worse. We want to make sure that your skin is
receiving the nutrients it needs to heal. As a reminder, your home care recommendations

were chosen specifically for your skin type, concern and condition that will compliment
your healing process.

Microneedling

oraneg sunflower groovy

What is microneedling?

Microneedling uses tiny needles to puncture the skin, which boosts collagen production
and helps the skin heal and rejuvenate.

How to prepare beforehand?

Use the week before your appointment to prep your skin with all hydrating and
moisturizing products. Discontinue use of active ingredients in your routine during this
time.

How is it different than filler/botox?

Instead of injecting neurotoxins or fillers into the skin, tiny needles are used to create
micro wounds that stimulate skin cells which are then sent signals that prompt your skin
to heal and repair naturally from the inside out.

Who is it good for?

It’s great for all skin types and shades and is used to address concerns like aging,
scarring, uneven skin tone and texture.

Does it hurt?

It feels like light pricks on the skin, and numbing cream can be used to minimize
discomfort. Less “cushioned” areas of the face may be more uncomfortable, but should
not hurt. You may leave red in some spots or pinpoint bleed, but you will never be
completely bloody.

Is there downtime?

After treatment, your skin may be red, dry and itchy for the first 2 days. You’ll see a
glowing, youthful complexion a week after treatment, and best results appear after
multiple sessions- at least 3.

When can I wear makeup?

Ideally, you want to give your skin one full week to heal, but if that’s not practical at least
72 hours before putting makeup on.

How to take care of my skin after?

Wash skin with a gentle cleanser morning and night, use hydrating toners, serums and
moisturizers and ALWAYS wear your SPF. Wear a hat when outside and if you have a

darker skin tone, wear sunglasses outside at all times for the first 2 weeks. You can
continue active ingredients 7-14 days after treatment.

Why do I need to be on approved Homecare to receive one?

Taking care of your skin post-microneedling is so important to ensure results that will
help the targeted concern rather than make them worse. We want to make sure that your
skin is receiving the nutrients it needs to heal. As a reminder, your home care
recommendations were chosen specifically for your skin type, concern and condition that
will compliment your healing process.

Why can I not receive one until I’ve had 3 facial sessions with you?

I need to become familiar with how your skin handles certain products, how
recommended products are working for your skin, and to create trust between the two of
us- you trusting me with your skin and me trusting you with your home care.
